Officially Announced: LEGO® Pokémon™ Next Wave Sets

LEGO Expands Its Pokémon Lineup with Five Exciting New Sets

LEGO and The Pokémon Company have officially revealed the next wave of LEGO Pokémon sets, and this latest lineup is packed with fan-favourite Pokémon, iconic characters, and plenty of nostalgia for longtime Trainers. Whether you grew up exploring Kanto or soaring through Hoenn, there’s something here for every Pokémon fan.

72150 Munchlax

The adorable and permanently hungry Munchlax makes its LEGO debut in this charming display model. Featuring a poseable head and limbs, the set shows Munchlax sitting on a tree stump surrounded by apples and apple cores — a fitting tribute to one of Pokémon’s most food-obsessed creatures. It’s easily one of the cutest sets in the entire Pokémon lineup.

72160 Arcanine

One of the most beloved Generation 1 Pokémon finally gets the LEGO treatment. Arcanine’s majestic appearance, flowing mane, and powerful stance have been faithfully recreated in brick form, resulting in a display model that looks ready to charge straight into battle. For many fans, this legendary-looking Fire-type will be one of the highlights of the wave.

72168 Rayquaza

The star of the collection may well be Rayquaza. The iconic Dragon-type Pokémon is shown coiling around the Sky Pillar in a dramatic display model that captures the legendary Pokémon’s immense power. Even better, the set includes Zinnia, making this one of the first LEGO Pokémon sets to feature a named Pokémon Trainer minifigure. Hoenn fans are going to love this one.

72154 Iconic Trainer Moments Poké Ball

This massive display piece opens up to reveal memorable scenes inspired by the Pokémon games. Inside, fans will find minifigures of Red, Professor Oak, and a Picnicker, along with brick-built Pikachu and Eevee. It’s a love letter to classic Pokémon adventures and should be a dream set for fans who grew up with Pokémon Red, Blue, and Yellow.

40868 Up-Scaled Red Minifigure

Rounding out the wave is a giant buildable version of Red, the original Pokémon protagonist. Complete with his signature cap, backpack, and Poké Ball, this oversized figure is packed with nostalgia and makes a perfect companion piece to the larger Pokémon display models. If you spent countless hours exploring Kanto on a Game Boy, this set is bound to bring back fond memories.

Unfortunately, Not for Singapore

While the LEGO Pokémon range is generating huge excitement worldwide, Singapore fans face a familiar challenge. Due to existing licensing arrangements, these sets are not expected to be officially available through LEGO Singapore or local LEGO Certified Stores.

For local collectors, the most practical options will likely be:

  • Importing through trusted third-party sellers on Shopee and Lazada
  • Purchasing from established LEGO resellers in Hong Kong
  • Buying directly from South Korea, where the sets are expected to be available at retail stores and LEGO outlets

It may take a little extra effort for Singapore fans to catch these sets, but for Pokémon enthusiasts, the opportunity to own official LEGO versions of Munchlax, Arcanine, Rayquaza, and Red will likely make the hunt worthwhile.
