LEGO Restaurants of the World 40909: A Taste of Italy Arrives!
Pizza lovers, rejoice! LEGO’s Restaurants of the World collection is heading to Italy with the newly revealed 40909 Restaurants of the World: Italy. Featuring a charming little pizzeria, a giant pizza slice and plenty of Italian-inspired details, this latest Gift-with-Purchase (GWP) set is a tasty addition to the growing collection of miniature restaurants.
A Little Slice of Italy
Comprising 317 pieces, the set recreates a cosy Italian restaurant with warm Mediterranean colours and a welcoming storefront. The most eye-catching feature is undoubtedly the oversized pizza slice on the roof, making it clear what this little eatery specialises in!
Other details include a stone pizza oven, a water fountain, outdoor seating and a pizzeria sign. Inside, builders will find pizza-making accessories and food elements that bring the restaurant to life.
The set also includes a restaurant-owner minifigure equipped with a pizza box and drink, adding a touch of character to this compact display model. Measuring approximately 15 cm high, 9 cm wide and 8 cm deep, it should fit nicely alongside the previous restaurants in the series.
Completing the Culinary Journey
The Restaurants of the World collection has taken LEGO fans on a culinary tour through Japan, Mexico and Greece. Italy now joins the lineup, bringing the series to four miniature eateries inspired by different food cultures.
For AFOLs, these small builds offer more than just display value. Their storefronts, accessories and minifigure-scale details make them useful additions to LEGO City layouts and custom street scenes.
The set is expected to be offered with qualifying purchases, but the applicable spending threshold and promotion period should be checked against the official LEGO Singapore promotion details before purchasing.
With its giant rooftop pizza and charming Italian storefront, 40909 looks set to be a delightful addition for collectors who have been following this miniature restaurant series. Buon appetito!
