BUGS Builders Featured at LEGO Singapore’s First-Ever Shophouse Experience
From 13 March to 5 April, LEGO Singapore brought heritage, creativity, and play together with the launch of its first-ever LEGO Shophouse Experience at Design Orchard. Open daily from 11am to 9pm, the immersive pop-up transformed Level 2 of Design Orchard into a vibrant Singapore-inspired shophouse, featuring Peranakan design elements, interactive activities, themed rooms, and inspiring LEGO displays. Visitors could explore beautifully curated spaces, participate in hands-on building activities, collect stamps to complete a special postcard, and even redeem exclusive LEGO keepsakes. 2026 Year Of The Horse Giant Mascot Build – TRU Vivo City
While much of the world was busy celebrating the arrival of the new year, a dedicated team of BUGS builders was hard at work behind the scenes at Toys “R” Us VivoCity, racing against time to complete the giant LEGO® Year of the Horse mascot in preparation for the Lunar New Year festivities. This impressive build took approximately two hours of careful construction, with every layer meticulously added brick by brick. Welcoming the Year of the Snake with Another Giant Mascot Build! 🐍🎉 As has become a cherished BUGs tradition, a dedicated team of builders gathered on New Year’s Eve to construct our annual giant zodiac mascot to welcome the Lunar New Year. BUGS Builders Welcome the Year of the Dragon For the Year of the Dragon, the team took on the challenge of building one of the most beloved and auspicious animals in the Chinese zodiac. Symbolizing strength, prosperity, good fortune, and success, the dragon holds a special place in the hearts of many BUGS members, making this year’s mascot build an especially exciting project. As the curtains close on ENBLOCK 2023, we would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all our builders, participants, volunteers, partners, and visitors who made this year’s event such a memorable one. This year was particularly special as we explored a new exhibition format, with LEGO creations showcased in custom display cases spread across the 2nd and 3rd floors of the mall. 2023 Year Of The Rabbit Giant Mascot Build – TRU Vivo City/JEM
Double the Rabbits, Double the Prosperity! The annual BUGS giant zodiac mascot build returned once again, and for the Year of the Rabbit, members decided that one rabbit simply wasn’t enough. Since the rabbit is traditionally associated with abundance, prosperity, and good fortune, BUGS builders took on the unique challenge of building not one, but two giant rabbits to welcome the Lunar New Year. The first rabbit was constructed on 30 December 2022 at Toys “R” Us, VivoCity, where a team of dedicated builders gathered to kick off the celebrations.
