Run by Soren, the local BrickLink shop offers a huge variety of LEGO parts, with an impressive 1.9 million pieces currently in stock. While the shop primarily operates through BrickLink, Soren has recently opened the physical collection to the public by appointment on weekends, giving local builders an opportunity to browse parts in person, collect orders directly and chat about what’s new.
1.9 Million Parts and Counting
The sheer scale of Singapore Sling Bricks is perhaps the first thing that catches the attention of an AFOL.
With around 1.9 million LEGO parts in stock, Soren’s goal is to eventually grow the inventory to approximately 2.5 million pieces. What’s even more impressive is the rate at which the inventory has been expanding.
According to Soren, the shop has added around one million parts over the past year.
For an AFOL, numbers like these translate into one very important thing: choice.
Whether you’re looking for common bricks, plates, slopes, tiles, modified elements or parts in specific colours, having such a large inventory increases the chances of finding what you need without having to search through multiple sellers.
Keeping Up With What AFOLs Actually Need
It’s not simply about having millions of random LEGO pieces sitting in boxes.
Soren says the shop focuses on keeping the most popular parts in the most popular colours available. This is particularly useful for MOC builders, where a project can sometimes require dozens—or even hundreds—of a particular element.
And keeping that inventory organised is no small task.
Singapore Sling Bricks typically sorts between 20,000 and 30,000 parts every week. That gives some perspective on the amount of work involved in maintaining an inventory of this size.
For anyone who has ever tried sorting a large LEGO collection at home, imagine doing that every week on a commercial scale!
What’s Coming to the Shop?
One of the interesting things about Singapore Sling Bricks is that AFOLs can get a preview of upcoming inventory.
Soren regularly publishes the sets he is parting out on Instagram, allowing customers to see what new parts are likely to become available.
For MOC builders, this can be particularly useful. A new LEGO set might contain a newly released element, an interesting recolour or simply a large quantity of a useful part. Knowing that these sets are being parted out gives builders an idea of what they can expect to find in the shop.

While BrickLink remains the primary platform for Singapore Sling Bricks, opening the shop to the public by appointment adds another dimension to the experience.
Weekend appointments are particularly aimed at families who want to bring their children along, as well as MOC builders who need parts immediately or simply want to discuss what is currently available.
For an AFOL, being able to physically browse LEGO parts is a very different experience from scrolling through a BrickLink inventory.
Sometimes you don’t know exactly what you need until you see the parts in front of you.
And sometimes, finding an unexpected piece can completely change the direction of a MOC.
Helping Builders Source Their MOCs
Another interesting service offered by Singapore Sling Bricks is MOC sourcing.
Soren currently fully sources MOCs for around half a dozen customers, using his experience to help them reduce the overall cost of their projects.
This can be particularly valuable because the cost of a MOC isn’t always obvious when you first look at the parts list. Some designers may use parts without considering how expensive or difficult they are to obtain.
By reviewing the parts and sourcing them strategically, Soren can help customers find more cost-effective ways to complete their builds.
There can also be savings on international shipping. When sourcing parts from overseas, he can sometimes combine a customer’s parts with his own orders, allowing customers to benefit from reduced shipping costs.

More Than Just a BrickLink Shop
There are also plans to expand Singapore Sling Bricks beyond individual LEGO parts.
Soren is considering adding display shelves for LEGO sets in the future and may also accept sets on consignment for sale.
If that happens, the shop could evolve into an even more comprehensive destination for local AFOLs—somewhere to source loose parts, pick up MOC components, browse sets and perhaps even discover something unexpected.
