LEGO DC Unveils Three New Batman Sets for 2027
Batman fans have plenty to look forward to in 2027, as LEGO has revealed three new LEGO DC sets arriving on 1 January 2027. The new wave takes Batman in three very different directions — from the classic Batman Returns era, to the beloved Arkham video games, and finally to a striking piece of Joker comic-book art.
67008 Batman Returns Batmobile & Duck
LEGO DC Batman Returns Batmobile & Duck 67008
With 672 pieces, 67008 recreates two of the most memorable vehicles from Batman Returns — Batman’s iconic Batmobile and The Penguin’s wonderfully ridiculous Duck vehicle.
The set includes Batman and The Penguin minifigures, with the Batmobile featuring its transformation into the Batmissile. The Duck also gets movable wings and a movable head, making this a fun combination of display model and play set.
Priced at US$59.99 / £54.99 / €59.99 / SGD$89.90, this looks like an especially fun set for fans of Tim Burton’s 1992 Batman film.
67009 Arkham Batman Batmobile

For fans of the Batman: Arkham games, 67009 is arguably the most exciting of the three.
The 317-piece Batmobile captures the heavily armoured look of Batman’s vehicle from the Arkham universe and includes a new Arkham Batman minifigure. It also features functional suspension, allowing the vehicle to tackle rough terrain, while a removable rear section provides a hidden storage compartment.
At US$29.99 / £26.99 / €29.99 / SGD$45.90, it also offers a relatively affordable way to add an Arkham-era Batman to your collection.
Both 67008 and 67009 also include a Golden Red Brick digital unlock for LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, connecting the physical sets with the game.
67012 The Joker Wall Art Comic Cover

The biggest and most unusual set of the wave is 67012 The Joker Wall Art Comic Cover.
Containing an impressive 1,849 pieces, this 18+ set recreates the disturbing cover of Detective Comics #880, originally released in 2011. Rather than simply reproducing the artwork as a flat mosaic, LEGO uses multiple layers to create a 3D effect, particularly around the Joker’s face.
Look closely and you’ll find hidden details incorporated into the artwork, including Batarangs, swords, flowers and the Joker’s trademark laughter. The finished model measures more than 51cm high, 38cm wide and 5cm deep, making it a substantial piece of Batman wall art.
Priced at US$169.99 / £149.99 / €169.99 / SGD$259.90, this one is clearly aimed at adult collectors and fans looking for something very different from the usual LEGO Batman vehicle.
A Strong Start to 2027
What makes this new wave particularly interesting is the variety. 67008 celebrates the cinematic Batman of Batman Returns, 67009 brings the darker Arkham universe into LEGO form, while 67012 turns one of the most unsettling Joker comic covers into a dramatic piece of LEGO art.
All three sets are scheduled for release on 1 January 2027, giving Batman collectors an exciting way to start the new year.
For me, 67009 is the surprise highlight, but 67008’s Batman Returns pairing is hard to resist — and 67012 could become one of the most striking LEGO DC display pieces yet.
