Bringing The Spark Back into Our Lives, Brick by Brick

The day COVID-19 appeared, it signaled the beginning of an unavoidable disruption in our daily lives. Air travel halted, lock downs imposed, shops closed for good and many scheduled events canceled.

One year on, although the pandemic still rages furiously, LEGO fans around the world are rallying together to show their mettle in these difficult times.

Today, we cast the spotlight on BULAT – Brunei Usergroup Lego and Technic from our neighbouring country, Brunei. For the month of March, they are up and about, busy with not one but two display events at their local shopping malls.

The first event is held at Bebeland Kiulap, from 8th March to 14th March (tomorrow is the last day). Here are some highlights:

The 2nd event is held at Mabohai Shopping Complex. It will run from 12th March till 22nd March so there’s still plenty of time to pop by if you happen to be in Brunei. Reports courtesy of fellow BUGster Desmond Yew who is currently located in Brunei for a long term stint.

Events of any kind, big or small are far more important to us today than before as they bring a slice of normalcy back into our lives. They also remind us that there is so much more to life than just work alone. We thank all the LUGs and their members for their commitment, passion and for rekindling the importance of play in all of us.

“Work, love and play are the great balance wheels of man’s being.” – Orison Swett Marden.
